This page explains what cookies and similar technologies detailermade.com uses, what each one is for, and how to turn them off. It covers this website. It doesn't cover the DetailerMade mobile app, or the booking pages our customers run at booking.detailermade.com — those are described in our Privacy Policy.
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work at all — you can't log in without one. Others tell us how the site is being used, or whether an ad we paid for actually worked.
These make the site function. Blocking them will break signing in, and we can't turn them off. Each one is a cookie we set directly.
DMdFBow1e9b3Z-sessionKeeps you signed in to your DetailerMade account. Contains your authentication token and cannot be read by JavaScript.
update_bank_cooldownStops the bank-details form being submitted repeatedly by accident in a short window.
affiliate_dataIf you arrived through a referral link from an existing DetailerMade business, records who referred you so they get credit if you sign up.
These tell us how the site is used so we can improve it. We look at patterns across everyone, not at individuals. Listed by provider, since each one sets several cookies of its own — see the linked policy for their exact names and durations.
Product analytics. Tells us which pages get used, where signup gets abandoned, and what breaks — in aggregate, so we can fix it.
These measure whether our advertising works. Without them we're spending money without knowing what it does. Listed by provider, since each one sets several cookies of its own — see the linked policy for their exact names and durations.
Measures whether an ad we paid for led to a signup, and lets us avoid showing ads to people who already have an account.
The same thing for Facebook and Instagram ads — measuring which campaigns actually bring detailers to the site.
This runs the help messenger in the corner of the screen. Listed by provider, since it sets several cookies of its own — see the linked policy for their exact names and durations.
Runs the support messenger, and keeps your conversation with us attached to you between visits so you don't have to start over.
We also use your browser's local storage for two small things: remembering whether you chose light or dark mode, and holding on to the campaign a visit came from so a signup can be attributed correctly. Neither is shared with anyone, and clearing your browser data removes both.
In your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings, either for all sites or for this one specifically. Be aware that blocking the strictly necessary cookies above will stop you being able to log in.
Opting out of ad tracking. You can opt out of interest-based advertising at optout.aboutads.info, adjust Google's at adssettings.google.com, and Meta's in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sharing your information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
DetailerMade does not sell personal information for money. Using advertising cookies may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CCPA. You can opt out by blocking those cookies in your browser, using the opt-out links above, or emailing us at support@detailermade.com. We won't treat you differently for asking. Your other rights — access, deletion, correction — are covered in the Privacy Policy.
If we add or remove a cookie or a third-party tool, we update this page and change the date at the top. There's no separate notification — this page is the record.
Email support@detailermade.com or use the contact form. A person reads it.
