Do my clients need to download the app?

No. The app is for you and your team. Your clients book, view invoices and pay through your booking link in any browser — there is nothing for them to download.

How do I get set up?

Create your account at detailermade.com, verify your email and enter your business details. Then add your service categories, services and add-ons, set your business hours, and share your booking link. Most detailers are taking online bookings the same day.

What is the booking page?

When you sign up you get a unique booking link you can share on your website, on social media, or anywhere else. New and existing clients use it to book jobs with you directly. It also doubles as a client portal: clients log in with their phone number to see their detailing history, saved vehicles, addresses and payment methods, so rebooking takes seconds. How do clients book appointments?

They open your booking link, pick a service and any add-ons, choose their vehicle, and select from the times you actually have open. Availability respects your business hours, existing jobs, buffer times and daily job limits, so you do not get double booked.

Can I customise my booking page?

Yes. Add a tagline and cover image, a photo gallery of your work tagged by service, an FAQ, and announcements for closures or promos. You can flag standout services with a colored badge, and choose between three booking flow layouts: step-by-step, one scrolling page, or storefront-style browse-then-book.

Can I take a deposit when someone books?

Yes. You can require a deposit or full payment at booking, keep a card on file, and enforce a cancellation policy that clients have to acknowledge before they can confirm.

Can I hide a service without deleting it?

Yes. Toggle a category, service or add-on off and it disappears from your booking page and every booking flow, but stays available when you or your team create a job manually.

What are the fees for payments?

Card payments processed through DetailerMade are charged 2.99% + $0.30 per transaction, plus a $0.30 fee per deposit to cover the bank transfer. Cash and payments you take outside the platform have no fee — you just record them.

How do clients pay for jobs?

When a job is complete you send an invoice link by text or email and the client pays from that link. You can also charge a card they already have on file, take a deposit at booking, or record a cash or external payment yourself. You need a connected bank account to accept card payments.

How do I set up my account to accept payments?

Bank connection is done on the website, not in the app. Log in at detailermade.com/account and submit your business and banking information. Once your merchant account is approved you can start taking client payments.

When do I get paid?

Client payments are grouped into batches and paid out to your connected bank account daily. You can see every batch and the individual transactions inside it on your account page at detailermade.com/account.

Yes — 7 days, and no credit card is required to start. You get full access to set up your services, build your booking page, add clients and run a real booking end to end.

What happens when my trial ends?

Nothing is deleted. If you have not picked a plan by day 7 the mobile app shows a Subscription Required message, but you can still log in at detailermade.com/account to choose a plan. Everything you set up during the trial is exactly where you left it.

Does adding an employee cost more?

No. DetailerMade does not charge per seat. Add as many employees as you need at no extra cost.

Can I change plans or cancel?

Yes, both from detailermade.com/account. There are no long-term contracts and no cancellation fee. If you cancel, your access runs to the end of the current billing period and your data is kept so you can pick up where you left off.

Where do I manage my subscription and card?

On the website at detailermade.com/account, not in the mobile app. Billing, payouts and bank connection are all handled there. Note that the card you pay us with is separate from the bank account we pay you into.

How do I add an employee?

In the app, tap the business icon in the bottom navigation, open the Employees page, tap the + in the top right, enter their details and assign a role, then save. They receive a password reset email and can log in once their password is set.

Can I control what employees can see?

Yes. Every user has a role — Owner, Admin or Employee — and what they can see and do follows from it. Sensitive settings like your subscription and bank details are limited to owners and admins.

Can I run payroll in DetailerMade?

Yes. Employees clock in and out in the app, and DetailerMade turns those hours and their completed jobs into a reviewable pay run — hourly or job-percentage, with rate history, bonuses, deductions, and CSV or PDF export. Approving a pay run locks the period so the numbers cannot shift afterwards.

Can I hold my team to a standard?

Yes. Build quality checklists that require photos and assign them business-wide, per team or per service — required ones have to be completed before a job can be marked complete. You can also build training guides with quizzes and acknowledgments and assign them by employee, team or role.
